A case of the Mondays

My HOH is a day late. That’s because yours truly had a case of the Mundays.

Okay, that’s not quite accurate. I took a little R&R this weekend and just didn’t have the heart to break open the laptop and crank out this week’s newsletter. The plus side to this “laziness” gave me the chance to discover a great article in the Substack newsletter Conquering Burnout by Jani Konjedic.

This edition, entitled  What Are Destress Days and Why You Need Them, provides some tremendous insights into the need for days where you completely unplug. This is something many WFH and home-based business owners DO NOT DO—yours truly included.

We know we need to take days off and properly recharge. In today’s fast-paced world is very easy to get caught in the “always grind and hustle” mentality without slowing down to fully rest and recharge. The more we give, the more we need to replenish. This is even more true if we have suffered or are suffering from burnout.

What I liked most about Jani’s article is his experience of burnout from a traditional job and how working from home didn’t make him immune from burnout and his recognition of that. Check it out by clicking the button below.

Websites you should know

Another thing you should check out is Matty McTech’s Websites You Should Know series. If you can deal with the bandanna, you will learn about a ton of cool websites that you can employ in your day-to-day work life. Check it out.

Inspiring quote of the week

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
