And the survey said…
My Home Office Hacks survey results on whether or not to bring your laptop on vacation
On Friday, yours truly posted a survey asking whether or not I should bring my laptop on my upcoming vacation. I’ll be honest. I was hoping for a result that would make me feel less guilty for bringing it along. My HOH readers surprised me a little, yet didn’t let me down.
The surprise? Sixty-one percent said they take their laptop on vacation but use it sparingly. Twenty-six percent said they don’t bring it. Sadly, 13 percent said they take their laptop and end up working.
A similar survey on LinkedIn revealed similar results for bringing the laptop, 56 percent, while more totally unplug, 38 percent. This is not surprising as not all of my connections work from home and it’s a bit easier to separate from the work. A much smaller percentage, six percent, said they end up working.
So, the Chromebook—not the primary laptop—will accompany me on my trip to Belgium. If you would like to follow my journey, follow My Home Office Hacks on Instagram.
But what about …Plugged In
Electric vehicles. EV. Many people think that’s so far off in the future it doesn’t affect them. Yet look around when you get out of the house. Those EV plates are out there already. Your day is coming. To prepare you for that day, check out PluggedIn, a newsletter on the electric vehicle industry. It’s a five minute read and as their tagline states, will help you get smarter about electric vehicles.
