Duct tape as a backup cellphone holder.

Why it matters

Cellphone holders, like pens and matching pairs of socks, disappear for no reason at all. Duct tape is always handy. Having it front and center gives you a double resource.

You can build a kayak out of duct tape?

3 posture fixes to save your back (and workday)

Bad posture happens. It’s inevitable if you’re working long hours in a home office in a chair that wasn’t designed for it. This can drain your energy and focus. Fortunately, a few small fixes can make a big difference.

Raise your screen: Your monitor should be at eye level to prevent neck strain. A laptop riser or even a stack of books works. My personal favorite is the footstool.

Support your back: Most office chairs come with lumbar support. If yours doesn’t, add a small pillow or lumbar support pillow behind the curve of your spine.

Mind your wrists: Keep your keyboard low and your wrists straight. A simple wrist rest can reduce tension.

These adjustments can pay off with better focus and fewer aches. Your back will thank you.
