If you missed seeing My HOH in your inbox last week, it was for a good reason. Yours truly had a bad case of HOE.
That’s Home Office Envy.
What caused this outbreak? A little newsletter called Workspaces.
Each week, this newsletter looks at the workspaces of somebody who works from a home office. Here’s last week’s:
What’s not to be jealous of , right? The space of Alex Dales is beautiful!
The best part of Workspaces is not only do you see these idyllic home offices, the newsletter also shares links on where you can get each item featured.
For example, the beautiful yet compact LG monitors (affiliate link)…
Or the Logitech mouse (affiliate link).
Of course, what I really want is the number of whomever cleaned the office. That seems to be more of a challenge for WFHers.
Still, seeing things you like that other My HOHs are doing is part of why this newsletter exists. Workspaces has been a great source of inspiration for thinking and rethinking my space.
Yet when improving your work space, you do need to take other things into consideration—lighting, acoustics, ergonomics, etc.
Of course, there are 1,001 opinions on what you should have for your home office. Just do a search on “essentials of a home office” and you will have plenty of material to work with.
Ultimately, it’s your choice and what works best for you. Yours truly is big on view. Here’s mine.
What’s the view from your desk? Are you staring at a wall? Is there a window or windows in your space? Please share and we’ll create a home office with a view MY HOH.
As for Workspaces, I encourage you to check it out. It’s a fun Sunday morning read.
While you’re at it, don’t forget to sign up for My Home Office Hacks—if you haven’t already. And share it with your friends.
I think I’m over my HOE. See you next week and Merry Christmas!
