Forget your Google Business Profile
How some SMBs--including yours truly--neglect the most valuable social media asset you have, the Google Business profile.
1 Big Thing: Forget your Google Business Profile
I did. Thankfully my web designer friend forwarded a post from hers and I discovered how many more things you now add to your Google Business Profile beyond the basics.
Why it matters
The more you post to your Google Business Profile, the more you improve your local rankings. So, if you’re actively posting to your profile, you’re more likely to rank in the three-pack. The coveted area that appears on any Google search (below).
Go Deeper
The description for your business can now be 750 words. That’s a lot more than when I first created the profile. That’s way more opportunities for keywords.
My web designer friend added her services with pricing. This discourages bargain hunters.
The Ask
Of course, nothing improves the likelihood of getting in the three-pack as 5-star reviews. If you like My Home Office Hacks, please share your review below.
Listen up, audiobook fans
Libra.fm makes it possible to buy an audiobook without a membership
Why It Matters
An audiobook membership can be like that clothes hanger/exercise equipment in your bedroom. And then you’ve got that monthly charge that you don’t cancel because you do want to try listening to more audiobooks. Yet you never do.
A Solution
Libra.fm lets you download individual titles without a membership, which they also offer if you do get into the habit of listening.
Better than the library
Yes, most libraries offer audiobooks. Yet that’s first-come, first-served and you can only have it for a certain period of time. With Libra.fm, if there’s an audiobook you want and you know you will want to listen to it over and over, it’s not a bad way to go.
