New My HOH feature showcases lead magnets; some WFH must-haves for Small Business Week; and 28 AI prompts by industry.
1 Big Thing: Lead magnets that attract response
My Home Office Hacks has a new Get the Lead Out feature where we showcase cool lead magnets that deliver. The first is Guide to 5 Mistakes New Managers /Leaders Make by Barbara Khazam, a customer service speaker and coach. You can download her lead magnet here.
Why it matters
Lead magnets, sometimes known as an ethical bribe, is where you provide some contact info—at least a first name and an email address—in exchange for a pdf download. These downloads should:
Provide valuable information.
Be brief, preferably 10 pages or less; though some will offer a longer ebook as a lead magnet
Be clean or easy to read and follow.
Deliver a strong call-to-action and MULTIPLE ways for prospects to contact you and get more info.
Big Picture
Plant your lead magnet front and center on your home page. Make it easy to find and easier to download. Then take advantage of the additional marketing opps it offers:
A leave behind after 1-1’s and other meetings
Ample social media fodder
Giveaways
Zoom in
If you don’t have a lead magnet and want one, it’s not as difficult to put together. Particularly with programs like Designrr and an active blog or newsletter that shows your expertise.
