“I ghost lawyers” and 1,000 page impressions 👻
A LinkedIn post from my day job. Sustainable standing desk and more.
A recent Linkedin post garnered more than 1,000 page impressions using that opening line. Could lawyers be a magic word?
Why it matters
It’s been a while since a LinkedIn post of mine has garnered more than 1,000 page impressions. Particularly since it achieved with only one person tagged, only one share and not one comment.
Going deeper
Now more than ever, we live in a litigious society. So, it’s not surprising that a post that leads with a provocative line involving a lawyer generates more interest; my typical post would probably garner a few hundred page impressions at the most with so few people tagged.
Interestingly enough, there were a number of lawyers who reacted to the post. None of whom I know. That’s not unusual as I’m a Provisors member and there are tons of attorneys in that group. Yet, it’s cool to think that one or two likes from a fellow Provisor member could morph into 1,000+ impressions.
The lesson/hack
Using lawyer in a subject line or opening line of a LinkedIn post may get attention. Yet there has to be some correlation in the content. My LinkedIn post is actually about how I was a ghost writer for an attorney—I wrote her blog. So, it’s easy for me to use it.
Yet that doesn’t mean you couldn’t use lawyer/attorney in your subject line even if the topic had nothing to do with an attorney. For example:
A business secret you wouldn’t share with your attorney
Or a version of that.
Try it out. And if you’re stuck, it’s okay to ask ChatGPT for a little help.
