There will be fewer W2 employees working from home in 2025.

Why it matters

There are already strong indicators that U.S. federal employees presently working from home will have that benefit revoked. Call it Elon Musk’s influence. It’s quite possible, and likely, the private sector would follow suit.

Can your laptop handle AI?

Your current laptop may not have the mojo—or hardware—to handle your increasing AI usage.

Why it matters

With impending tariffs on imported goods in the US, the time may be now to upgrade.

What you’ll want in an AI laptop:

  • Dedicated AI Hardware: For example, GPUs (like NVIDIA RTX series) or AI accelerators (such as Tensor cores).

  • High-Performance CPU: A powerful processor (e.g., Intel Core i7/i9, AMD Ryzen 7/9, or Apple M-series) for complex computations.

  • Ample RAM: This sort of goes without saying. At least 16GB, ideally 32GB or more.

  • Storage Speed and Capacity: -- A fast SSD (512GB or more)

  • Display and Build Quality: High-resolution displays (4K or QHD).
