One of the best LinkedIn posts I’ve seen
Author and microexpressions expert Annie Sarnblad recently posted the best LinkedIn post I’ve seen in a long time.
Here’s the link and here’s why.
Timely subject matter – Whether you like them or not, the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance attracts attention and dominates Google Trends.
Linking your expertise to what’s trending – Annie Sarnblad’s business is teaching sales professionals what facial expressions mean so it can be used to enhance relationships and close more sales.
Providing a sample – Annie shows a video of an interview with Travis Kelse where he’s asked if he loves Taylor Swift. Much like she does with a client, she shares her observations what those facial expressions might mean.
I would have liked to have seen a call to action on this one. There’s a screen at the end of the video with Annie’s website. My preference would have been for her to have some text with a link for either Annie’s business or her book, Diary of a Human Lie Detector: Facial Expressions in Love, Lust, and Lies. That could go either in the post or as a comment.
Ironically, the photographer who shot the cover for Annie’s book, Barry Braunstein is also a skilled practitioner of LinkedIn. Barry has a free webinar on LinkedIn coming up on January 30, 9am EDT. You can sign up below.
Results from AI poll
We ran a poll the other day asking people how often they used AI. Though an overall small sample size, 58 percent said they dabble with AI, maybe once or twice a week. A much smaller number, 13 percent, said they use it daily.
While yours truly admits to being in the former, I can see that changing very soon after completing a course called, Futureproof your Copywriting Business by legendary copywriter Nick Usborne. In particular, it offers a really cool way of creating a sentiment analysis for clients.
Next week’s newsletter will include more on the course. If you can’t wait until then, check out the link below.
