Taking time off this summer
Free time management webinar on June19. Plus a great use for coffee grounds.
1 Big Thing - The Coffee with the Coaches free webinar on June 19 will teach time management strategies to help WFH professionals and home-based business owners plan extended time off.
Why it matters
When you work for a company and have paid time off it encourages employees to take time off without financial consequence. Many people who work from home are self-employed and work intermittently. Extended time off or vacations often include work. Knowing how to plan your work in advance can help you take time off so you’re not bringing your laptop along.

What to do with coffee grounds
Used coffee grounds can be used as a deodorizer and mosquito repellent.
Why it matters
If you work from home and you’re a coffee drinker, you’re the one who has to get rid of coffee grounds. Why not find a productive use of those grounds?
Go deeper
Dried used coffee grounds can be stored in a jar or cup and placed in your garage. This can mitigate smells over the course of the summer (some people store their trash in the garage).
As for mosquitoes, apparently, they don’t like strong smells. And there’s anecdotal evidence that the pungent aroma of coffee grounds may keep them at bay. This also keeps them from laying their eggs in those places as well.
Try it out and let me know how it works.
