That friend or LinkedIn connection who sends links
Whether you work from home or not, everybody has that somebody who shares links. Here's mine.
Everybody has one. Some of us have more than one. Particularly after you start a newsletter for people who work from home. One of mine happens to be a gadget guy who loves sharing articles for the WFH crowd. On a holiday weekend, these folks are an invaluable resource.
My guy, better known as the Family CTO, shared an article on exercise equipment you can use and stash easily in a home office. As a devotee of Matt Furey and his Combat Conditioning program, I was hesitant but intrigued. I’ve got to say there were a few that caught my eye.
One really caught my eye, the Kettle Gryp. This device, seen on Shark Tank, enables you to convert your dumbbells into kettlebells. This makes it possible for you to do so many great additional exercises where you can get far more benefit than dumbbells. If you decide to buy a Kettle Gryp, I recommend you check out Aleks “The Hebrew Hammer” Salkin. Or, as I call him, the King of Kettlebells.
Aleks offers a 9-minute kettlebell and bodyweight challenge. After many of us have spent the weekend celebrating our various holidays, this might just be the ticket to getting you ready for beach season.
The other that caught my eye was the Ropeless Skipping Rope. At first glance, I thought “what’s the point?” A big part of the benefit of skipping rope lies in developing your timing, coordination and balance. Yet if the cardio is what you’re after and you lack space in your office or any of your living areas, it’s not a bad option. If you’re in a building where somebody lives on the floor beneath you, you may want to be judicious about when you skip.
