Will you rebound in 2023?
An office rebounder can be your secret weapon against writer’s block, excessive sitting and WFH malaise
The headline doesn’t imply 2022 was an off year. It hits on one big benefit of working from home: sneaking in a good workout in a short amount of time. And a rebounder or mini-trampoline is about as good a work out—and as fun—as you can find.
I was reminded of this when scrolling through Google’s Holiday 100: Shop the 100 products that made our year. It’s been a few years since I purchased my rebounder. It has been a godsend for those moments where there’s a bit of writer’s block. Or the adrenaline is pumping for a call or interaction. You can take that energy and in five to 15 minutes you can ground yourself by literally leaving the ground.
If you check out the guide there are an abundance of rebounders out there. If you’re thinking you don’t have the coordination to bounce, most come with rails so you can balance yourself. If you don’t quite have the budget, you can check out eBay for some deals. You have to be careful as you do get what you pay for.
Here’s a pretty good one from JumpSport. The price might be more than you see for other rebounders. That’s because it has elastic bands as opposed to springs. That drastically reduces the noise each bounce makes. How much? I know some people who actually conduct business calls while bouncing.
Another thing to look out for is weight capacity. This rebounder has a 250-lb weight limit. That will work for most. If you’re a larger individual, like yours truly, you need to read the fine print and find one that can hold you like the JumpSport 350.

Getting testi-monials
Sorry about the pun. Yet after last week’s article on utilizing photos and videos on Google Business Profiles, some clients wondered how to go about that. That led to some research where I stumbled upon Senja, an online portal that makes recording testimonials a snap.
Senja gives users the option to leave a video testimonial or short written one. It comes with a variety of widgets so you can then transport those videos and written testimonials to your website and landing pages. Essentially, you can create your own “Wall of Love”. Not to mention the videos and texts are great for social media posts.
Like many of these apps, you can start for free (10 videos per month/ SD quality). If it works for you, bumping up to the next level is $19 a month with unlimited testimonials, embeds and HD quality.

But what about…Cape Creations by Nancy
Okay, this is not another newsletter. It’s my kid sister’s Etsy site. She makes these really cool Christmas decorations with a Cape Cod theme. If you have a home office and want to add a little Yuletide spirit without adding clutter, I can recommend the seashell tree enough. It adorns my office.

“Courage involves pain, and is justly praised; for it is harder to face what is painful than to abstain from what is pleasant.” --Aristotle
