“I can hack it.”
That’s what yours truly said to the teacher/director of my sixth grade play.
She laughed out loud.
Probably because she had been frustrated with my performance in rehearsals and asked me if I was up to playing the part.
“I can hack it.”
Little did I know that in acting circles, a hack was derogatory. In my world, a hack has always had better connotations:
You can hack it meant you were tough, gutsy, plucky.
Taking a hack meant giving something a try. A really good try, particularly as it pertained to my favorite sport as a kid, baseball.
“Take your hacks” or “get a good hack” was always inferred as taking a hard swing at a pitch and getting the fat part of the bat on the ball.
Many, many years later, hacks are universally known as finding a way to do things better or cool short cuts.
It’s been my pleasure to hack it for the past few years and to see how our community and the level of content has evolved to where we are today, with more than one thousand subscribers from around the world
The celebration of the My Home Office Hacks evolution now includes a paid membership so we can continue to grow the community and the quality of content.
What does that look like?
You can choose between a monthly rate of $7 or an annual subscription of $70.
If you don’t want to deal with renewals, My Home Office Hacks will offer a Founding Member membership, with a suggested donation of $150. Founding Members will receive My Home Office Hacks for life.
My Home Office Hacks will continue to offer a free subscription with some of the content.
My Home Office Hacks subscribers will have access to all things My Home Office Hacks, including our latest Friday e-mail.
Thank you for your support over these first few years. I’m absolutely floored by the support and am looking forward to bringing even more hacks—tips or products that can make your work from home experience better—that you can implement that day!
Cheers!

And we will do it again on Wednesday, August 29 at 9am EDT in a free webinar put on by My Pinnacle Network, a B2B networking organization.
Patryk has been doing this sort of thing on his LinkedIn webinars for the past year. If you’ve missed those and want to see it live, click on the button below.

From Maureen Ciaccio, web designer and owner of MHC Designs:
My Apple Magic Mouse. I don't know how I ever lived without it a decade ago. Swiping on it like a mobile device allows me to scroll faster (a must in designing web pages) and saves my finger from repetitive movement.
