Blind squirrel shares nut with LinkedIn guru
How you can double your LinkedIn engagement and sound authentic
Dylan Ciaccio has forgotten more about LinkedIn marketing than most people—including yours truly. So it was gratifying to be able to append his post on doubling your LinkedIn engagement.
That advice called for including the person’s name in replies. That’s done by simply typing @personsname. Doing this, however, puts the person’s entire name in the reply. So, you end up with a reply like this:
“That’s a great idea, Joseph D’Eramo.”
Now, how many of your friends talk to you using both your given name and your last name?
“Hey, Joseph D’Eramo, let’s go to the bar tonight.”
So, yours truly offered the solution provided in a very early My Home Office Hacks post entitled, Thank you, Chuck Norris.
The video below demonstrates:
Now, you can’t edit your first name and change it to what you go by (e.g. changing Joseph to Joe). You can take out the last name, middle initial or anything else that follows (e.g. CFP, MBA, etc.). This way, it sounds like more like a normal conversation and less like Dodgeball.
Thank you, Dylan, for being gracious enough to let this blind squirrel share his nut.
I just don’t have time
How many times have you said that? Whether it’s exercise, reading, writing or any other endeavor you think takes more time than you have. Yet you would be surprised at the benefit you could get by doing any of those things for five minutes a day. And as busy as people are, it’s difficult to think we couldn’t find five minutes, right?
That’s the theme of this podcast of Kwik Brain with Jim Kwik, featuring special guest Dr. Rangan Chatterjee. Check it out.
