One Big Thing: I want to hear about you
The new paid subscribers gave me an idea: I want to hear about your business and what you do from home. Just leave a comment at the end of this piece.
Why It Matters
My Home Office Hacks has nearly 1200 subscribers. You never know who might click and who might turn out to be a connection or customer.
Knowing what you do helps me tailor content to be more beneficial for you.
It’s a free plug. We usually charge for that 😊
Next steps
Drop the name of your business with a link in the comments below.
Oh, and thank you for making this about you and not me. I’m tired.
Losing business in the shower?
One of the better places to brainstorm is in the shower. Unfortunately, many of those showers go down the drain if you don’t write it down. Enter bathtub crayons!
Easy to erase, these crayons enable you to write your thoughts on the bathroom wall without risking detention—or a trip to the Principal’s office. Though you will want to transfer your thoughts to paper or a digital format ASAP. No telling what your partner, kids or company might do to the original script.
Stop Bookmark Bar abuse
You can fit more bookmarks on your bookmark bar by editing the text on search marker. Just right-click on the bookmark tab and select “edit” if it’s an individual page or “Rename” if it’s a folder. You can then edit the name of the bookmark. If it’s a page, like LinkedIn, you could remove the text altogether, leaving just the logo.
Why it matters
The bookmark bar contains the pages you access most. It may seem like small potatoes, but being able to access those items without pulling down or scrolling is a time-saver.
