I suspect it depends on the person. A friend of mine, a photographer, has to listen to people singing. He can’t so jazz or classical or any instrumentals. I’m a jazz fan, mostly bebop and fusion from the late 60’s and 70’s but I can’t work to it. Can’t do classical either. I think I get too caught up emotionally and get my concentration broken. WUMB seems to be my go to because I like the music, it doesn’t demand much from me and I also get to hear artists I never heard of.
Right?
Though I have recently stumbled onto mindful ukelele music, a fancy way of saying instrumental ukelele with ambient sounds. https://youtu.be/Gq7eRuoNa2Y?si=ySTHJOXQVQ0EUSjW
What do you typically play in your office, Terri?
I'm generally streaming in WUMB. America's only 24 hour folk station, although the Folk moniker is often stretched a bit.
As a writer, it's difficult to listen to music with lyrics. How is it for your as a photographer?

Also WUMB is public radio so the DJ’s aren’t yelling at me or aggravating me.
I'm also not a fan of DJs or ads. Yet I do appreciate that we all have to make a buck.
This is awesome Joe !
Couldn't agree more. What do you typically listen to in the office?
